I wanna scream and shout and let it all out…
I LOVE British Airways! I am jumping for joy! Are you wondering why?
I am originally from Crete but I live in Boston, US. Going to my hometown, Heraklion, every summer is associated with joy but also serious fatigue simply because of the multiple connecting flights I have to take… not one, not two but… three with two kids. Poor us.
Typically, we would fly to London Heathrow, then from London Heathrow to Athens and then, we take the ‘killer flight’ from Athens to Heraklion. I call it the ‘killer flight’ since we are all so exhausted! Unfortunately, there are no direct flights from Athens Heathrow to Heraklion (only from London Gatwick).
But today I am super excited as I just read about the new British Airways routes.
Crete: British Airways will start flying to Heraklion, Crete from 26 April 2015, operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays from London Gatwick.
Corfu: From 1 May until 20 September 2015, British Airways will fly four times a week to Corfu, Greece from London Heathrow.
Kos: From 1 May until 20 September 2015, British Airways will fly twice a week to the island of Kos from London Heathrow.
Rhodes: British Airways will start flying to Rhodes from London Gatwick on 29 April 2015, operating on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
How cool is that?
