In Need for Autumn Sun? Head to Greece

Little Girl Concentrating On Drawing A Picture With Multicolored PencilsDid you know that autumn is the best season to visit Greece? Just ask The National Geographic Traveler magazine, which promises that “you will find the best weather, blooming wildflowers and hotel availability.” We couldn’t agree more!

Here at KidsLoveGreece.com, we’ve come up with our own three reasons to visit Greece during the half term school break.

Mild Weather

Greek autumn weather is a wonderful escape from your standard British fare. If you’re worried about the weather, don’t panic! It certainly won’t be as warm as it is in the summer – in fact, it’s much more pleasant in the autumn. Summer in Greece can be quite hot and humid, but in autumn, the weather turns much sweeter and milder. The landscape is gorgeous, the air is invigorating, and the sea is warm (usually a bit warmer than the surrounding air).

Beyond the Three S’s (sea, sand, and sun)

Greece offers much more than the three S’s – that is, our spectacular sea, sand, and sun. The archaeological sites and museums are guaranteed to intrigue the whole family!

Great Hotel Deals

You’ll be pleased to find that hotel rates are much more reasonable, with a much better value for your money!

If you’re looking for specific destinations in Greece, here are some of our own recommendations for hotels, restaurants, activities and sightseeing that are kid-friendly and family-approved! Find what works for you and your family, and start planning your autumn escape. And you can rest assured that all of our recommendations come directly from Greek parents.

Tips:

Don’t forget your bathing suits!
Take your camera everywhere for charming family shots in front of monuments and legendary statues. The history teacher will be impressed!
