Food is an essential part of Greek culture, and this hands-on Nafplio Family Cooking Class is the perfect way to experience it. Under the guidance of an expert local chef, you will have the opportunity to create your own versions of the most popular Greek dishes. Everyone will enjoy themselves in a friendly, fun atmosphere, which of course makes the food taste even better!
The food tour can start in two ways. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, you can visit the local farmers market with your host to select the very freshest produce for your dishes. On other days, the tour will start at the host’s property which has amazing views. After a shot of Raki (adults only!), and some light snacks, the cooking begins!
To begin with, you might prepare a Greek salad, accompanied by tzatziki and cheese pies. Then, you would prepare a main course, and after, a dessert. All the while, your enthusiastic and fun host can guide and help the kids, talk about the origins of the dishes, and tell stories to really help bring the occasion to life. When the meal is ready, it is time to savour it. This isn’t just a family cooking class or lesson. It’s a magical experience you will remember forever!
In addition to our Nafplio Family Cooking Class, we offer a selection of other interesting tours suitable for families in Nafplio. Our Nafplio Family Walking Tour is a wonderful way to explore Nafplio as a family accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide, and the Nafplio Family Food Tour combines the highlights from the Walking Tour with the opportunity to sample Greek Cuisine. Day trippers from Athens might be interested in the Mycenae/Nafplio tour day trip.
