Explore the amazing Kifissiá, the Northern Suburb of Athens

If you’re not one for the hustle and bustle of downtown, you can still enjoy the city center’s splendors while staying a bit further away in a quieter, greener area. We highly recommend two beautiful boutique hotels in the northern suburbs for your vacation getaways. The Y Hotel and the Coco-mat Nafsika in Kifissia both combine style and comfort with a warm, friendly environment. Kifissia is half an hour away by train from the city center.

There are lots of restaurants in the area to choose from. Tzitzikas & Mermigas (the Ant and the Grasshopper!) serves tasty traditional dishes; La Pasteria dishes up authentic Italian flavors; and Biftekakia kai Souvlakia is a great, quick option for food straight from the grill.

And if you’re a TGI Friday’s fan, you’ll find your mother ship in the area, too!
