A message from the activity leader, Gregorios
My name is Gregorios and I’m a local Athenian, a Physical Education teacher and a professional outdoor sport event coordinator. I love sports, socializing, traveling around the world, exploring and experiencing new things and, of course, studying the history of different cultures. Outdoor activities are my passion.
At this point, I would like to introduce you to my latest group activity, which combines fun with exercise and history, based on ancient Greek fighting techniques. During the past few years, I ‘ve studied and trained with groups as an ancient Greek warrior and learned everything about their armor, their weapons, their fighting style, so here I am to share my knowledge with you!

Feel like a Hoplite
This is a must-do activity if you are in Athens. In no other place the Greek history became so alive for me then when Gregory shared his immense knowledge about history and ancient warfare. We could hold spears, swords and shields and he trained us in how to build a phalanx. It was so much fun while being informative at the same time.
