On the northern edge of Agios Stefanos Avlioton, Delfino Blue Boutique Hotel & Spa, with its beautiful beach, kids pool and family apartments, is popular with all kinds of travelers including families.

The organized beach with beach bar – literally in front of the hotel – is long, sandy and not crowded during peak months. The beach is gently shelving and safe for kids. There is plenty of shade under the umbrellas. The sea is clean and the temperature of the water is perfect. The beach faces the straits towards the romantic sunset plus the Mathráki and Othoní islets nearby.

There are many beach activities to choose from ranging from paragliding and paddle boarding to jet-skis and speed boats.

Families can also spend quality moments of relaxation at the pool. The pool area has a children’s pool to keep kids safe while parents indulge some well-mixed cocktails at the pool bar! Parents will love the outdoor whirlpool tub with decking, a sauna, hammam or massage.

Delfino Blu offers studios, suites and one- or two-bedroom apartments. Some have beautiful views of the sea, the sunset and islets. Some apartments accommodate four and have a kitchen corner. Toddlers under two-years-old stay free and there are special children’s rates for ages two to ten.

Families will appreciate the variety of what’s on offer for breakfast as well as the a la carte dinner. Breakfast is copious with a vast choice including a selection of fresh local produce, fruit, pastries and cooked options. The main in-house restaurant provides ample choice among Greek and generic Mediterranean platters and a great wine list. The service is excellent and nothing seems to be too much of an effort. The owner Kostas and his team definitely know their job.

If you are in the mood for some serious indulgence, then book a cruise on the hotel’s luxurious yacht, Volvere, and experience sailing on the beautiful Ionian Sea.

You should also visit the historic Corfu Town. To make the most out of your visit to this beautiful Venetian gem, we recommend a half-day Family Tour in Corfu with private vehicle including a visit to the famous palace of princess Sisi. If you want to combine a walking tour with tasting some of the most delicious dishes of the Corfiot cuisine, we recommend our Corfu Food Tour for families.

    Families should know

    • Arm yourselves with mosquito repellent as mosquitoes can be merciless, especially at night
    • It may be windy on the beach especially during August so take a good book to read by the pool whilst the children enjoy splashing around
    • Some roads are really poor but you could consider visiting other parts of the island by boat instead
