A day cruise from Athens to see some nearby, low-key, islands is always a popular activity for families on vacation in Greece. It is a great way to get a first look at what life on a Greek island is all about, enjoy some ocean views, and swim in crystal blue waters. The perfect tour from Athens!
The day begins when you are collected from your hotel, and then driven to the Marina where your yacht awaits. It is a 78ft ship, and when the other passengers have joined you, there will be a small discussion and presentation before the cruise itself begins.
As we sail, a breakfast will be served, and when it is finished, we will reach our first destination which is the port of Vathi on the island of Aegina (first island). This is a beautiful port area, and there will be 1.5 hours free time to explore the town and surrounding area if you wish.
Following our time on Aegina, we then cruise to Moni (second island), the island on the South of Aegina. This is a perfect place for swimming and snorkelling, and the kids may be able to spot wild deer and peacocks roaming about on land. All the family are sure to have great fun, and you will easily build up an appetite for the lunch that will then be served for you onboard! After lunch you can then visit Perdika, a seaside beach village across from Moni.
At around 17.00pm, we then cruise towards Agistri island (third island) where we stop at Skalla, a natural port with nearby sandy beaches, and a nice seafront with tavernas serving seafood. After spending some time here, it is then time to set sail for Athens once more, where a bus will be waiting at the Marina to take you back to your hotel.
