Percy Jackson Tour of Epidaurus and Nafplion – Day Trip from Athens

Visit one of the most important sites of the ancient Greek world during this Percy Jackson Tour of Epidaurus and Nafplion . In the company of our friendly and engaging guide, you will learn more about Greek Mythology, see where some of the characters from the Percy Jackson books were inspired from, and have a fun family day trip from Athens!

    Leaving Athens

You will be collected from your hotel after breakfast in a luxury vehicle, and during the drive out of Athens, our guide will explain what’s in store for you. We’re sure you are going to have a lot of fun listening to all the stories from Greek mythology that are connected to the areas you are going to visit!

    Epidaurus

Epidaurus is another UNESCO World Heritage site, famous for two outstanding features. The first is an incredible theatre which was so well designed thousands of years ago that even today you can hear people whispering on the stage when you are sitting up in the seats high above. The acoustics here are extraordinary, and your kids will have the time of their lives testing them out, whether whispering or even singing!

The second outstanding feature of Epidaurus is the Asklepios healing sanctuary. People would once travel from hundreds of miles around to this place to be healed from their ailments, and there were even guesthouses available over 2000 years ago for patients! Your little Percy Jackson fans may find the name Asklepios familiar – He was the God of Healing featured in the Percy Jackson book ‘The Blood of Olympus’. Of course, our guide will explain all about the Greek Myths and stories connected to this site. Finally, when the tour of Epidaurus is concluded, the drive back to Athens begins, but there will certainly be a lot to talk about along the way!

Your tour will continue at the beautiful and picturesque town of Nafplion.
