Tips for Families With Babies Visiting Greece.

Hello there! We are a family with two babies and we will soon have our first vacation in Greece with our toddlers. So we would like to ask you if you can give us some tips that will make our trip easier.

Hi. First of all, congratulations on your decision to spend your first vacation with your toddlers in Greece. We are sure that you will love this trip. So let us talk about our tips that you asked for. We will give you a list of things that will make your vacation easier.

  • Ask for Equipment: Equipment is very important for the baby, so you could ask for baby equipment on your facilities. If you are staying in a hotel, you can ask for a baby-bathtub or a baby crib. Also if you are renting a car, you can ask for a baby seat at a small extra charge.
  • Breastfeeding: In recent years, public breastfeeding is becoming more common in Greece. You can breastfeed your baby in public, but we recommend you do it with some discretion. You can also breastfeed in restaurants, in which case we recommend you to ask if it is possible to sit in a quiet place.
  • Pharmacies: Both on the islands and mainland, you will find an open pharmacy 24/7 in every city. You will find all kinds of medicines there, but if your toddlers are taking a specific one, it’s better if you bring a sufficient supply.
  • Sunscreen: Greece is a very hot country, especially during the summer, and even if you are sitting in the shade, we strongly recommend that your baby is fully protected with the highest UVF sunscreen you can find.
  • Baby Love: While you and your family have a walk on the street there is a chance that older people will pay attention to your baby. Especially grandmothers simply adore babies and don't mind showing it, so prepare yourself to receive some love.
