Since you arrive at 10:30, there’s nothing for you to worry about! Just make sure that you go to the website of Aegean Airlines, which is the main Airline for flights from Athens to Crete! There, you can easily check the timetables. The other good news is that Athens Airport is very small so you don’t even need to change terminals.
However, in case you decide to stay one night in Athens, we really like the Sofitel hotel. It is a lovely hotel at the airport, and all you have to do is cross the road and it’s there! Alternatively, there are some amazing hotels in Sounio (more than 45minutes away) if you want to see a breathtaking Sunset! Still, I believe that there’s no need for you to stay in Athens!
