Tasting Greek food is a highlight of any stay in Athens. With our Family Cooking Class, you can learn the recipes, tips and tricks of Greek gastronomy, taking home with you a culinary skillset to last a lifetime.
Fun and engaging for the whole family, our Cooking Class is a hands-on way of diving deeper into Greek culture.
Your tour begins with an eye-opening walk through the Athens Central Market. Here, your expert food guide will introduce you to the fresh local products, help you select some of them, or simply just show you around. The Central Market is a truly vibrant place, one where you’ll discover that traditional trade is very much alive and well.
After exploring the Central Market, you’ll then start shopping for the ingredients you’ll need for class. You’ll be provided a list, a few useful phrases in Greek, then the rest is up to you! It’s a perfect way of throwing yourself into everyday Athenian living.
Once you’ve got everything, you’ll continue on to a private cooking workshop in the center of Athens. With the help of our chef, you’ll then prepare a full menu of traditional Greek delicacies.
The best part of the day? In the end, you and your family will get to enjoy the meal you created, sitting back and learning about the different aspects of Greek gastronomy and life in Greece.
