Are you looking for an afternoon of exploring the ancient world? Our Athens Mythology Tour is the perfect choice for you — a fun and educational trip to the Acropolis followed by an immersive stop at the Acropolis Museum.
During this 4-hour private tour, your family will learn about the mythology of ancient Greece, and the gods and heroes, what inspired the Acropolis, and the reasons why Athens was once one of the greatest cities in the world.
After arriving at the Acropolis, your family friendly guide will give you a creative tour of the site’s major monuments. You’ll hear the stories of the Parthenon, the Theater of Dionysus, the Temple of Athena Nike and the Temple of Erechtheion, as well as the Sanctuary of Asclepius.
While in the Acropolis, you’ll be given an iPad that’s been preloaded with an extra augmented reality program. This new ‘touring’ tool will help you visualize how the Acropolis looked in ancient times. You’ll be able to see a full 3D colored reconstruction of the 5th century BC statues, buildings, and ancient objects – it’s a truly incredible experience. Afterwards, you’ll make your way down to the Acropolis Museum, where you’ll be able to discover even more about the history, mythology and culture of the ancient world.

Eva was our guide. She was well prepared for engaging our grandchildren and raising their level of curiosity about ancient history and mythology. She is educated with a masters dergree in archeology and as a native of the area she was able to help us not only with lessons in history for the children but how to find a good restaurant as well as the best shopping. It was a great tour.. Although the weather was windy especially when we reached the summit (Acropolis) at the end of our tour, but we really enjoyed it. We took very nice photos and knew a lot about the Greek myths. In addition to that Marialena took us first to Plaka, and we could go there by our own on the next day. We were definitely blessed that we chose our first day in Greece to be the day of our tour because the following 3 days were rainy, and we had to cancel many of our outside plans!
Marialena is a nice tour guide. She planned the tour well considering our delay and the time of closure of the museum.

Eva was outstanding. She has multiple degrees in archeology, greek history and culture, and child education. She met us at the terminal and arranged for a taxi into the city. She encouraged and support my 84yo mother to walk with us, while entertaining and educating my 5yo niece and 12yo daughter. Everyone loved her and our half day at the Parthenon and nearby sights was perfect. Don’t hesitate in booking her.

I highly recommend KidsLoveGreece. The tour guides were wonderful and the support staff always there to answer unending questions. Planning the tour with Maria was very efficient and completely done online which could not have been any easier. Our tour guide Eva, was very knowledgeable and kind. It was apparent that she could connect parts of the ?Percy Jackson? stories to what our sons knew and that was great. Our families felt that there was a bit too much talking (Which was fine for the adults but lost on the kids after some time.) and that more active engagement would have kept their attention longer. (Such as a game or treasure hunt or tools they could hold or touch along the way.) That being said, we loved seeing the highlights of the Acropolis and ancient Athens. It is a trip we will not soon forget!

Hi Carolyn, thank you for your request. We can certainly offer you a shorter version of our 4 hours tour. Actually, we recommend that you only include one site, our recommendation will be the Acropolis in your case (2 hours). Maria sent you via email all the info that you requested.

Hi David, thank you for your interest in our Athens Mythology Tour in the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum. This tour lasts 4 hours and includes a visit to the Acropolis Hill (where the Parthenon is located among other Temples) as well as a visit to the Acropolis Museum. Another version of the tour is the Acropolis Hill and Ancient Agora (4 hours as well). We could also do a much longer version of the tour with includes Acropolis Hill, Ancient Agora (or Museum) as well as a Mythology Food Tour in Plaka/ Psiri and surrounding areas (up to 7 hours). It all depends on how long you would like the tour to be. We could even offer only a tour in the Acropolis Hill (two hours). It all depends on what you are looking for. We pride ourselves in our ability to customize any of our tours!
Hi, we are visiting Athens in May 2024 & would love to take our children on a tour of the city to see as much as possible but just unsure of the best options? My children will be 12 & 8 so able to walk a good length of time… Many thanks in advance

Please provide pricing and details for the 2 hour Acropolis tour and the 4 hour tour for 2 adults and one 8 year old. Also we will be there 25 May and leaving 27 May. Will it be very crowded during the weekend? Should we go early in the morning or late in the evening?
