Chocolate Carafes For Christmas
The boat as a Christmas symbol is common on the Greek islands.
They are easy, fast and can be decorated in many different ways.
Chocolate Carafes
Equipment
- freezer bag
- food processor
- parchment paper
- zip bag
Ingredients
- 120 g couverture (4.2 oz)
- 3 tablespoons crushed pi-butter cookies
- 2 oil pads 20 (5 x 30.5 cm)
For the glaze
- 110 g icing sugar (3.8 oz)
- some lemon juice
- marshmallows (optional)
Instructions
- Take each piece of wax paper and make a boat.
- Crush the cookies very well either with a freezer bag or in a food processor. Cut the couverture into small pieces, put it in a heatproof bowl and melt it in the microwave.
- Add the biscuits, stir and while it is still warm, use a brush to cover the entire inside of the parchment paper with the chocolate mixture.
- Put it in the fridge to set for 10 minutes and repeat the spread twice more, leaving each layer to dry in between.
- At the end, remove the parchment paper.
- To make the glaze, add the icing sugar and a little lemon juice and mix. Depending on how thick you want it, add icing sugar (to make it thicker) or juice to thin it out.
- Put the icing in a zip bag and cut one end of the bag to create a cornet. Decorate the tops of the boat as the snow falls on it and drips. If you don't want the icing to be too firm so it looks like the snow is dripping, decorate with marshmallows and let the icing dry.
- ENJOY IT!
