Varkotopos Beach
At a distance of about 43km west of Heraklion and 30km east of Rethymno, you will find the famous seaside village of Bali. Bali lies in a large bay which is divided into four smaller bays. You will encounter the second beach, Varkotopos, as you enter the village.
Varkotopos is west facing and is an enclosed bay with a beautiful sandy beach, shallow waters and calm sea. The beach is well-organized and offers all the necessary amenities a family needs. Next to the beach there are a few taverns and cafes. The surrounding area offers numerous accommodation options if you want to stay overnight.
Families should know
