The Nafplio family walking tour begins at the Land Gate, where the kids will be instantly engaged by stories told of years gone by. Nafplio was briefly the Greek capital after independence, and played an important role in the birth of the nation. The walk then passes by the scene of an assassination, and on to a Gelateria for the best ice-cream in Nafplio! From here, the walking tour proceeds along cobblestone streets and through narrow alleyways which have an incredible air of romance about them.

Coming out of the alleyways, the walk then goes along the promenade. Be sure to ask why there are fortifications to protect the town from pirates! Finally, the guide will lead you up a hidden pathway to the top of Acronafplia. From here, you can admire the great views all around. What a perfect end to the tour!
