Quote from Our Trip Planner Response on 24/06/2021, 13:52This is actually a great question. In a few words: YES, the Acropolis museum is an amazing place when it comes to interactive family games and multimedia! Apart from the fact that its location, history (real treasure trove of ancient statues) and architecture (glass walkway with a view to the works) are impressive, a visit at the Acropolis museum also includes:
1. Interactive Family Games: When visiting the Acropolis Museum, your kids will have the opportunity to play some family games (also available in English) in different exhibitions of the museum such as the ‘’Archaic Colors’’ and the ‘’In the Search of Goddess Athena’’ !
For example, during the game called In Search of the Goddess Athena your kids will go and get the family backpack (from the Museum’s information desk) and search for the 12 different representations of the Goddess Athena amongst the exhibits of the permanent collection. For more information about the interactive kid-friendly games in the Acropolis Museum, you can have a look at our latest guide here: 4 Reasons why you should visit the Acropolis Museum with your family | Kids Love Greece
2. Lego Acropolis Exhibit: Once you’ve soaked up the history, take your kids to the first-floor kid’s area (the floor above the entrance/reception), which features an amazingly detailed Lego Acropolis—while it might not be quite to scale, it’s a fantastically imaginative piece that will bring the Acropolis back to life in their minds! Check our ‘’The Acropolis Museum Family Guided Tour’’ for more information!
NOTE: The Lego in the Acropolis Museum is not available as of June 2021. Please check with the museum before visiting.
3. Photo Adventure in the Acropolis Museum: My last recommendation to you is the Photo Adventure private workshop in the Acropolis Museum. This is an amazing workshop we have created for those who want to capture ancient Greece with nothing but their camera AND learn better photo techniques! Check here for more information.
