Imbros Gorge is one of the most stunning destinations you can visit while in western Crete, and an easier alternative to the more demanding Samaria Gorge. Get ready for an action-packed family adventure in the Cretan mountains!

You’ll start your day by following an easy rocky path into the hills, to arrive at the beautiful Imbros Gorge. This remarkable location features dramatic rock formations and native flora, providing a two-hour hike with plenty of stops to appreciate the incredible views.

After completing the gorge hike, your driver will be waiting for you at the exit of the Gorge to visit Frangokastello Fortress, an ancient Venetian settlement showcasing Crete’s rich history.

You will then have 2 options to choose from:

First Option: Visit Frangokastello Beach for swimming and lunch in a traditional taverna. You can extend your adventure with a visit to the rustic village of Chora Sfakion, allowing you to explore at your own pace and experience the traditional culture (*additional cost may apply)

Second Option: Alternatively, you can visit an olive oil factory or a local winery for a delightful wine tasting, sampling different varieties of local wine.
