This family-friendly cooking workshop unfolds in the country home of a Cretan wine-making family. You will taste five Cretan wines, paired with five traditional plates using fresh, local ingredients, highlighting the special bond between Cretan food and wine. Guided by your hosts, you will prepare the food and learn well-kept Cretan cooking secrets!
Get ready for a hands-on Cretan cooking experience! We’ll prepare classic dishes like Dakos (the Cretan bruschetta), a traditional Cretan barley rusk topped with ripe tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, and creamy Myzithra cheese. You’ll also make refreshing Tzatziki, a cool yogurt and cucumber dip bursting with garlic and herbs. We’ll also prepare traditional Gemista, the beloved stuffed vegetables filled with rice and fresh herbs.

As you cook these Cretan recipes, you’ll enjoy a selection of five exceptional wines from across Crete. Each wine is carefully chosen to complement the unique flavors of the dishes, creating a perfect blend of taste.

This wine and food feast is enriched with personal stories and family tales that will deepen your connection to Cretan gastronomy and wine making.
While the food is cooked and wines are tasted, kids will be creatively engaged in the serene, sun-drenched patio of the family cottage, playing with pottery, painting, planting, and gardening.
This tour entertains all ages equally and offers a first-hand family experience of Cretan hospitality, food recipes, and wine tradition!
