The Lassithi Plateau is situated at 800 metres in height, which means that it is always slightly cooler than the coastlines, even during summer. The actual biking route depends on the participants’ fitness level and kids’ ages and follows a circuit on mainly flat asphalt and dirt roads. Along the way, you will be able to see some old abandoned windmills, cycle through traditional rural villages, and enjoy wonderful views near the cave of Zeus.
With an emphasis on taking it easy and having fun, this Mountain Biking for Families cycling tour is suitable for anyone with an average level of fitness. All the equipment needed is supplied, and an experienced guide will accompany you along the way pointing out all the places of interest.
