Naxos Following Traditions Tour

Wood-Fired Baking in Kinidaros Village | A Private 2 hours Cooking Class with Locals

Do you want to submerge yourself in Greek local culture, find authentic village spots, listen to fascinating stories about food and learn more about Greek customs, traditions and taste unforgettable local flavours? Our cooking class offers the perfect ingredients for a recipe of fun family moments and wonderful memories.

Kinidaros Village, so it goes, is the place where people learn to dance before they walk. A famously joyful and friendly traditional village, Kinidaros is saturated with vibrant flowers and white marble architecture, as well as being the location of an extraordinary marble quarry.

Who doesn’t love a freshly baked pie? The Tselentis family invites you to their traditional bakery, which has been in the family for over 70 years. With the guidance of Antonis, the family’s 3rd generation baker, learn the art of baking a local pie in a traditional Greek wood-fired oven. This special activity is private, for just you and your family to enjoy.

While the pie bakes away, take a short family walk through the wonderful winding village of Kinidaros. After about half an hour, you’re welcome back to the bakery to choose a variety of local delicacies to eat, along with your freshly baked pie. Relish this picnic you’ve helped to create under the mighty oak trees just outside.
