    Equipment

    • Box grater
    • Mixing bowl
    • Garlic press (optional)
    • Paper towels

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups (500g) plain Greek yogurt (strained)
    • 2 medium cucumbers
    • 2 garlic cloves, minced
    • 3 tbsp olive oil
    • 2 tbsp white vinegar
    • A pinch of salt
    • A dash of white pepper (optional)

    Instructions

    • Wash the cucumbers thoroughly. Grate them with their skin on (optional) using a coarse grater. Sprinkle a pinch of salt over the grated cucumber and let it sit in a colander for 10-15 minutes to draw out excess water.
    • Use your hands or a clean kitchen towel to squeeze the cucumber, removing as much moisture as possible. Transfer it to a mixing bowl.
    • Add the Greek yogurt to the bowl along with the minced garlic, olive oil, vinegar, salt, and white pepper if desired. Mix everything well until it’s smooth and creamy.
    • Taste the tzatziki and adjust the seasoning if needed. For best results, refrigerate it for at least an hour to allow the flavors to meld.
    • Serve chilled with your favorite dishes or as a dip with fresh veggies, bread, or chips.
    • KLG TIPS
    • Herb it up! Add a touch of fresh dill or mint for an aromatic twist that’s common in regional variations of tzatziki.
    • Switch it up! Swap the vinegar for fresh lemon juice to create a tangy Cypriot-style tzatziki.
    • A meal on its own: Spread tzatziki inside a pita, layer it with grilled meat, and top it with tomatoes for a quick Greek gyro experience at home.
    • Tzatziki is more than a dip—it's a journey to Greece in every spoonful. Try it today and bring the sunny flavors of the Mediterranean to your table!
      ENJOY IT!
