Beaches for families in the Peloponnese: Kalogria Beach

Everyone loves the Kalogria beach – grownups and kids alike. It’s perfect for younger children, as it’s sandy with clear, shallow water. Since Kalogria is organised, there’s no need to lug an umbrella, recliners, and beach chairs – you’ll find everything you need on this beach. “Paralos” is right on the beach, and serves coffee, sweets, and tasty snacks like sandwiches, salads and crepes.

    Families should know

This beach has a long and impressive history. The author Nikos Kazantzakis arrived here in 1917 and rented a small cottage on the right end of the beach, where he was inspired to write his magnum opus, “Zorba the Greek.”

    Address: Kalogria Beach, Stoupa, Messinias
