Our cheese pie and frappe workshops have always proven popular with people looking for different activities to try during their stay in Athens. For 2 or 3 hours, you can forget about museums, and experience a cooking workshop that all the family will enjoy.

You will be invited into a Greek home, where your host will show you how to make Tiropita, or cheese pie. This traditional dish is beloved in Greece, and every family has their own way of making it. The kids will enjoy this real hands-on experience, where they can learn how to mix the ingredients and bake for themselves.

When the pie is in the oven, why not try making a frappe? A frappe is an iced-coffee, and is sometimes thought of as the Greek national drink. For people only used to drinking hot coffee, the concept might seem strange at first. After a few sips though, the taste is soon acquired. It is the perfect drink to enjoy on a warm, lazy afternoon!

As the pie bakes, and the frappe and mountain tea is served, you can get to know your host a little better. This is the perfect opportunity to find out more about life in Athens, and how Greeks think and express themselves. Then, when the pie is ready, it is time to taste it. Remember to leave enough to take away with you!
