The Hidden Heart of Crete: A Family Tour

This fantastic tour takes place in the picturesque Pediada Province in central Crete. You will experience the authentic Cretan lifestyle guided by Manolis, an enthusiastic, knowledgeable local. Manolis will share stories and insights from his childhood in the village; you will visit unique monuments and prepare traditional Cretan delicacies in an authentic Venetian house where Manolis’ great-grandmother once lived!

Our tour begins at Aunt Katina’s house, who will welcome you with a refreshing glass of homemade lemon juice, setting the tone for a day filled with local flavors. We will stop at Agia Paraskevi Church, where you’ll admire stunning Venetian frescoes. We will then visit Agarathos, one of the oldest, most beautiful Cretan monasteries. You will taste fantastic wines paired with local delicacies at a local winery and prepare traditional pies in the ruins of an ancient Cretan house. Our tour ends at the kafenio of Antonis, a cozy coffeehouse offering Cretan hospitality at its best.
