    Good food is everywhere in Greece. Whether it’s a simple Dakos salad eaten at lunch in a mountain village or a seafood feast at a coastal taverna, the choices are endless. The quality of the food is second to none, and the prices are sometimes so low that you’ll think they added the bill up wrong in your favor! One thing’s for sure, you won’t go hungry on a family vacation in Greece! Greek food spreads its culinary influence throughout Europe and beyond. It is known as some of the best food in the world!

    With an age-old tradition, Greek cuisine has been greatly influenced by both Eastern and Western cultures. Fresh vegetables, fishes & seafood play a significant role in the dishes mostly because of its long coastline while the meat is treated as less popular, except for lamb.     Greek Cooking Shows

    Akis Petretzikis if a renowned and popular Greek chef famous for his many TV cooking shows, recipe books, magazines and a weekly webcast called ”Kitchen Lab” and “Akis Kitchen” on YouTube where he shares all of his recipes in English. A wonderful workshop that is gradually evolving into a dynamic, multicultural, multifaceted land of flavors and aromas!

    The TV shows and online cooking classes by Diane Kochilas My Greek table are a great way to learn how to cook Greek food. On her blog, there are also many resources and recipes for the authentic Greek kitchen.

    Jamie Oliver does not need an introduction, here he shares his favorite Greek recipes:

    BBC Good Food has a great online collection of Greek recipes. Mediterranean flavours using core ingredients, including feta cheese and tender lamb and mouth watering dishes such as spiced feta with watermelon salsa!

    On The Spruce, you can find Easy Greek Food Recipes that everyone can cook. The dishes are of the easiest and most iconic Greek foods. From delicious butter cookies to spinach pie to favorite main dishes with lamb and pork, there’s a recipe for any occasion and taste.
